Dr. Hongkuan Wang earned his B.S. in biological sciences from Henan Normal University and his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Fudan University. His graduate work focused on screening the novel meiotic genes and studying the function of the cohesin loader SCC2 in Arabidopsis meiosis. Dr. Wang is skilled in molecular biology, biochemistry and cytobiology (e.g., FISH and immunofluorescence). In 2019, he joined the laboratory of Dr. Xiaobing Shi at Van Andel Institute as a postdoctoral fellow.
